Modest March Fashion Week| Day 3

It's so hot outside today- first day of spring and it's 83*. I took my three littlest siblings to the park this morning and on my in-town errands- we had a blast!

Today was supposed to be a "new outfit combination" and this one only counts because the shirt is newer. :P Really simple and easy for running after the kids. Ha, I'm still holding the car keys in this picture. :P

Shirt: Consignment shop
Tank: Penny's
Skirt: Made by me
Flip flops: Old Navy
Earrings: Walmart

My hair I just french braided into two braids on either side this morning, and then somehow pinned them up on my head. I seriously don't know how, sorry. :P

I'm hot and exhausted and overwhelmed, can't ya tell? :P How are you celebrating spring today?

  6. Marvelous! Another girl who loves skirts and camo! I made myself a camo skirt just last year and I absolutely love it! I strongly believe that a girl can love camo and be feminine at the same time! How fun!

  7. Oh my goodness, I totally forgot that today was the first day of spring! Thanks for reminding me. :)

I'm amazed at how much I like your camo skirt. I'm usually not a fan of that sort of thing, but I really like yours.

  8. That skirt is so cool! ^^
It sure doesn't feel like spring here, but it is my first day of spring break, so I am incredibly happy for that!(:

  9. haha! I've wanted to make a camo skirt for a while now... Glad I'm not the only girl who wanted that! ;) Actually, it looks nicer than I thought it would. :)

The official day of Spring isn't much different around here than the previous days before it. Our spring 'officially' starts when then wind starts blowing and doesn't stop. And summer 'officially' begins when the wind stops blowing. ;) hehe! Kind of the way it goes. But, we've been enjoying spring by having to sort cows in awful wind, getting dirt in your eyes so bad you can't see, etc, etc. Fun. ;)

  10. Nice country outfit! Goes well with the camo! It was 80 up here yesterday also! Didn't do anything significant yesterday. Oh yeah, I refashioned another t-shirt. And dance started again last night after a break last week :) The guys were in shorts it was so warm!

I recently found your blog via Pinterest and I'm very glad I did. I'm a beginner at sewing and love to sew things like dresses and rompers. Definitely going to be a avid reader :) :)

  17. I love this outfit, and that camo skirt!!! I have a friend who took a hunter safety class a few years back and at that point her family was strict enough Mennonite that she wasn't allowed to wear pants at all. (Since then, she has gotten a pair of loose fitting jeans for an rapelling event she went to...definitely can't do rapelling MODESTLY in a skirt!!) She made a camo skirt like that. I love the shirts you paired it with.
