My Favorite Church Skirt... (Coupon code!)

...I'm sure y'all can guess by now which one is my favorite! I think this is on the top 4 list of most-repeated article of clothing on this blog. :) I've worn it here, and here, and here before. Maybe more?

Yesterday I paired stripes with the skirt! Its super hard to tell from these photos though- it was sooo bright outside, even in the shade. I even tried to fix it with editing but to no avail. Y'all will just have to trust me that I'm wearing my new yellow striped shirt.

  Shirt: Kohl's
(They gave me a coupon to share with y'all! You can use the code UBLOGTEN from August 9 to August 24 and stack your savings with one other department specific code, too!)

Yesterday was a lovely day- the weather was gorgeous and the day was relaxed. After services and lunch and going to look at some land our church was thinking of buying, Emma and I took my three little siblings to the creek to play. Some chocolate milk and strawberries made that time sublime. I also took a sunset walk with my little brother to look at our cows. He ran the whole way home in his pajamas.

What'd you do yesterday? Our sermon was  from Philippians 4:1-4 on our unity with Christ and us abiding in Him... definitely something to ponder deeply.

  3. I actually didn't even hear this week's sermon! I was doing Sunday School in the other room.
You're brave! I'm a chicken, I can't seem to bring myself to mix patterns! It's like I have to get past my "mental blockade" of: everything has to match! :) But I always think it looks so cute on other people...oh well! I guess maybe some day I'll get brave and try it!

  5. I love that skirt! And I can see the stripes fine! It looks really cute with the little bit of yellow in the skirt!

Yesterday for me was a long day of shopping after church...I was looking for the perfect dress to wear to a friend's wedding, and after much shopping around and trying on dresses that were too short, too loose, too tight, and too frilly, I found the perfect one.(: Just a simple coral dress with a pleated skirt and belt.(:

  10. LOVE cardigans and pearls! Very cute!
Our sermons and our women's group discussion were about the importance of sharing the gospel, and for Sunday School we are attending a marriage and family class where we discussed ways to tame your temper. :) The next three Sundays I will be working in the church nursery so I tried to soak in all the 'adult time' as much as possible!

  13. I love that skirt, and want one of my own! And I think you did a good job pairing the striped top with the print skirt. Is there a "fashion rule" that says you can't? I know of one girl that claimed that you weren't supposed to wear anything white (shirt, pants, skirt) between labor day (I think?) and Easter. But during one of our Janurary meetings with out homeschool group we caught her (on camera!) wearing a white shirt! We never did tell her about it, but I thought that was pretty funny.

  14. Cute outfit! Nice and dressy, you could even wear it for a wedding! Sunday we went to meet some new people for fellowship and didn't get home until like eleven! We were so tired!

  15. That's such a pretty outfit! I never mixed patterns until I started sewing patchwork kind of stuff...and I fell in love with it. ;) So I do combine patterns once in a blue moon, with my clothes.

Sunday afternoon, me and my man had our first wedding shower. We're getting married in 16 days!!!
