Announcing | One Button-Down Blog Event

Hey y'all! I'm excited to announce a blog event coming to you... this Thursday!

Seriously so pumped to be partnering with Bramblewood Fashion, Boyer Family Singers, and Creations by Callie to host One Button-Down | Three Days | Three Ways!

I'm giving y'all a heads up because the best part is that if you're also a blogger, you can participate! Each day we will have a link up so you can join us and we can see your lovely outfits! Don't have a blog? We'll also have a hashtag so you can join us on Instagram! What's the challenge?

Wear one button-down shirt for three days, styling it differently each day.
Sounds easy, but will it be? ;)

Here's the shirt I've chosen:
An Old Navy pinstriped green+white shirt with ruffles around the collar. Not the most flattering clothing item, for sure. But, that's part of the challenge I've set for myself. The other girls I think have chosen lovely shirts that fit them perfectly, so there's some variety in this collective challenge! :)

I hope you will join us this Thursday- Saturday, April 3rd-5th, for One Button-Down | Three Days | Three Ways!

My lovely co-hosts and I realized as we were planning this event that some of us call it a "button-up" shirt and others call it a "button-down" shirt, haha! Which do you call it? Will you be joining us?

Will you be altering that button down in any way? Or are you very brave? :)

  11. Sounds like so much fun, and I love the idea of using button-ups! (That's what I call them, and apparently still others call them collared shirts because recently I learned that's what my sister calls them!) I love the old-fashioned-pulled-together-look of them. Even though I don't have a blog I will so enjoy seeing how you bloggers choose to style your button-ups!

  12. Is it possible for me to join you without putting pictures that include my face on the internet?

  16. I really like that button-down, Olivia! :) I used to call them "button-ups" but found that most people in the fashion world seemed to call them "button-downs," so I switched to that :)

  18. Do you have any suggestions where I could find good sturdy gingham? The stuff at Joann's is really thin and frays easily.

  19. Cool! Can't wait to see the turn out!! I don't think I'll be participating, since my blog is a photography blog and not a fashion one, although it sounds like fun;)

  21. I have always called it a "button-up" shirt & I am known for helping manikins button their shirts that they are modeling up! Lots of times I am surprised that only 2 or 3 of the buttons are buttoned... crazy! This is a great challenge for I have around 10 button-ups that do not get enough wear out of. Thinking that I should purge half... but which ones?! That is the challenge. ~Clare
