  4. It would be cheaper to make one of these than buy them! They are horribly over priced.

    1. I totally agree it would be cheaper! I have written a resource available on freshmodesty.com to help if you're up for making one! I really kept the price as low as I possibly could. Made in America isn't cheap, but it's worth it. :)

    2. I totally understand, Olivia! I sew too and I am often suggested by friends & family to sell modest clothes, but unless the fabric is super low quality they cannot be very cheap! Keep up the excellent work, your skirts are beautiful!

    3. How much are the skirts on retail and how much is the ebook?

    4. denim isn't cheap. people don't realize the time and overhead that goes into sewing. I can sew a skirt fairly cheap because I upcycle thrifted materials. but even still, I barely make any profit for my time even if I charge $40 per skirt.

  7. This skirt is so pretty!! I spend as much time pregnant as not pregnant, otherwise I would definitely invest in one of these. I'm sure offering a maternity version isn't even on the radar! Thanks so much for your blog. I always enjoy visiting it :)

  12. Congratulations! I'm always looking to be able to style my business casual wardrobe in more 'fun' ways than just black pants and a blouse or cardigan. Praying for the success of your business as 1.) selfishly, this will be a great addition to my closet, and 2.) it's awesome to see young women build businesses from the ground up based on something they are passionate about. Blessings on the growth of Fresh Apparel!

  16. Hi Olivia,

I have been having trouble finding long jean skirts for....... I'm not even sure how long! I think I am going to try my hand at making one and I would like to know where you get your material to make the skirts. I also love your blog and congratulations on your company!

    Blessings,
    Laney

    1. Laney, I made mine from denim I had gotten from Hobby Lobby. I used a coupon and got it pretty inexpensively. Joanns would be another good option, but there are also some great online fabric stores. I have heard good things of fabric.com and there are a few others.

On to the next goal to do both skirts! Congratulations! I am so proud of you and blessed to "know" you!

  29. I've been following you for a long time but have never commented! I have loved the errand #17 skirt for forever and I'm so excited to be able to have my own now! I know you have reached your goal but are still trying to reach the next one to be able to make a second skirt, so I blogged about your kickstarter at my new blog about modesty! Excited to see what's next!

  31. Hello! I was just wondering how much stretch the denim has, since I am in between sizes on the size chart. Would you recommend sizing up, or going by hip vs. waist measurements? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I haven't selected the exact denim yet, but I would say whether you size up or down depends on your fit preference. I personally like my denim skirts tight in the waist/hip (this skirt sits between those), but you may hate that feel and prefer to size up.

    1. No, probably not. $65 is pretty much the bare minimum it will ever be offered.
