Review | HydroChic Swimwear

Hey y'all! Are you ready for swimming season or are you ready for swimming season?! I have three different swimsuits to share with you this week, each catering to a different style, price-range, modesty standard, and timetable. The first is from a company called HydroChic

Not only do they have cute styles, but they are great for you, too! Their fabric has "excellent" Ultraviolet Protection Factor, which means their suits are perfect for long hot days at the beach. You can click here for more information about the importance of sun protection.

For this review I picked a combination from their 2015 collection, but they have a ton of different, stylish pieces that work for beach, bike, or even exercising.

The fabric is comfortable and I love the fit and length of the skirt. It's hard to find a pre-made swim skirts with leggings that hit the knee, but HydroChic has several styles of knee length and longer. :) Annnnnd they have plus and children's sizes!

My top is Adventure Chic V Neck Short Sleeve Swim Shirt ($79) and complimentary sports bra paired with Aqua Terra Ruffle Swim Skirt ($79).

So, if sun protection, style, and modesty are important to you (or you're just looking for a super practical exercise skirt) check out HydroChic.

Have a great day y'all! I'm hoping to actually go paddling around in these canoes today and not just take pictures by them. ;)

  3. This looks great i thought about buying one last year but i have physical disabilities and thought i might not be able to war it swimming so i ended up getting two tankini's and sewing the neckline a bit closer and also buying a rash guard and board shorts to wear.

  6. Hi Olivia, I've been following your blog for a while and don't regularly comment, but I thought I say that while Hydro Chic's swimsuit are on the expensive side, they a totally worth the money. I bought mine 3-4 years ago, and am still using it (though I did get a new shirt last year). I also exercise (running/biking) in it 3-4 days a week during the summer.

  8. That would be nice for boating, and it saves the need to have a cover up when you get out of the water at the beach. It's so hard to find modest swimsuits that aren't ugly as sin, and made with enough fabric to drown you if you so much as look at water. HydroChic's are actually pretty nice, and the SPF protection is such an important bonus.

  9. Beautiful (the swimsuit and you!).
This suit is just the right amount of fabric, sometimes it's too little, other times I've seen some that are more suited to a very strict guideline (which isn't me).

  11. As a mom of two young ladies it is so important for me to style modesty as I teach them to be modest too. This is not easy when I shop in retail stores. Modesty is the very last thing on their minds I am afraid. I am so blessed to have come across your site. I will be checking out this company and getting some suits for our summer season that has finally arrived! Thank you for sharing!

  12. Are there shorts under the skirt? Thanks so much for the review. I've been searching for a good swimsuit, and I'm considering getting one of these.

  15. Hi, I'm a 13 year old girl and I go swimming a lot. I usually wear fingertip length swim shorts and a swim shirt, I don't have a lot of money for a nice swim suit like yours, so do you think what I wear is modest enough? I do go swimming with groups of friends....boys and girls, and I am usually the most modest person at the pool (other than hutterites) so it can be kind of awkward. Anyways, I love your blog and it inspires me so much. Can you please post more on your YouTube channel btw?

    1. I think what you wear would be modest enough, just as long as you are comfortable.
